James Chok, Ph.D., BCBA – D is a neuropsychologist, licensed psychologist, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Dr. Chok received his doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed a one year internship and two year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He previously served as the Behavioral Neuropsychologist and Senior Director of Clinical Services for the Residential Treatment Facility at Melmark Pennsylvania.
Dr. Chok is currently the President for the Pennsylvania Chapter for the Association of Behavior Analysis (PennABA). He has authored several papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presented research findings at numerous professional conferences. In 2011, Dr. Chok was the recipient of the Outstanding Practitioner Award given by the Berkshire Association for Applied Behavior Analysis and Therapy (BABAT). He is currently investigating the assessment and treatment of obsessive-compulsive behavior in individuals with autism spectrum disorders, is a graduate instructor at UMASS Boston, and is the former Vice President of the New Hampshire chapter of the International OCD Foundation.
Dr. Chok is currently seeing clients in his office and through the use of videoconferencing. In addition, Dr. Chok is offering a free Anxiety and OCD Support Group for adults to help people manage their anxiety as they deal with these significant changes to their lives.
